Bird Purple Paper Craft
You will need :::
- RSPB Peace on Earth stamp & die set
- paper downloads
- white 14cm-square card blank
- white & lilac cardstock
- Shaded Lilac, Salty Ocean & Kitsch Flamingo Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink
- Morning Mist VersaFine Clair inkpad
- white organza ribbon
- ink-blending brush
- water spritzer
- 3D foam tape
- Washi tape
- stamping platform
- manual die-cutting machine
- circle & stitched scalloped rectangle nesting dies
Simply make :::
- Create a stencilled dove following the step-bystep guide below, then assemble the pieces to make a bird. Die-cut branches and adhere together behind its beak.
- Print and die-cut the patterned paper into a circle. Stamp the sentiment towards the bottom and add the dove using 3D foam pads.
- Die-cut a scalloped oval, tie white ribbon around the bottom then add the circle topper.
- Press the inkpads in turn onto the lid of a stamping platform (because it has slightly raised gridlines in the plastic), spritz with water then press the card blank into it and pick up colour. The gridlines will add a slight pattern to the background.
- Once dry, affix the full topper to the card front using 3D foam pads.
HOW TO: create a...
- Die-cut the wing detail into a piece of spare cardstock. Secure it over white cardstock and blend ink through the detail. Make two wings.
- Remove the handmade stencil and use the outline die to cut the wings from the cardstock, securing the die with Washi tape.
- Die-cut the dove’s body and tape the die over it, using the Washi tape to protect the main area. Blend ink through the tail feathers.
